ISO 45001:2018

ISO 45001 is a widely implemented international standard for health and safety at work.

Introduced in March 2018, it replaced the existing standard (BS OHSAS 18001) which has been withdrawn.

You’re not required by law to implement ISO 45001 but it will help provide a structured framework for ensuring a safe and healthy workplace.

ISO 45001 is easily the most internationally recognised standard for Occupational Health & Safety management systems helping businesses to provide a safe and healthy workplace and provide a foundation for them to meet their business objectives.

The standard can be implemented by any size of business, meeting it’s requirements will help your team to understand the business, their role and how they will contribute to the health and safety of the workforce.

In addition, if you choose to gain certification for your OHSMS it will help to enhance the reputation of your business and may help you to win new business.

45001 can be implemented as a stand alone management system but is best integrated with one of the other ISO standards, such as 9001, 14001 & 27001 as part of an integrated management system as it has many common requirements with them

If you would like our help either in starting your journey with ISO 45001 or with support for an existing system we would be very happy to hear from you.
